Das Mosor ist ein Abschnitt des Dinarischen KΓΌstengebirges in SΓΌdkroatien.

Es erstreckt sich auf etwa 25 km LΓ€nge zwischen Split und der MΓΌndung des Flusses Cetina bei OmiΕ‘ in der Region Mitteldalmatien. Der hΓΆchste Gipfel ist der Veliki Kabal (1339 m).

Die verkarsteten HΓ€nge des Mosor bestehen hauptsΓ€chlich aus Kalkstein. Er ist wasserarm und nur spΓ€rlich bewaldet.

Vom spΓ€ten Mittelalter bis zum Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts war der Mosor Kernland der halbautonomen Republik Poljica.
